In my office I have an indoor IQ camera hooked up to nest aware with facial recognition turned on.
I am in direct line of sight to the camera. Maybe 4 meters.
The camera is mounted on the wall and has a 45 degree angel to where I am sitting.
As I work, I keep getting notifications that the camera has spotted someone in the office.
Well yes, I am in my office, and I have been here for a few hours.
Is it possible to make the Aware system smarter so if it sees me "Bill"
sitting in the office, when next I lean back or whatever, it sees that it is still Bill
in the office.
When I leave the office and come back in, or someone else goes in (esp someone else),
getting a notification is good and valuable.
Getting a frequent notice that the camera has seen me, is I suppose comforting at some level
but mostly annoying.

Hey there Sir-Hippo,
Sorry to hear about the annoying notifications that you're getting when you're sitting in your office, I totally understand the want to figure this out, so I'm happy to look into this.
I was able to find an article about notifications, but unfortunately there isn't anyway to make your camera smarter or to know that if it's you, that it doesn't need to notify you.
I would suggest checking out that article though to see what other ways it could help.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.
Best regards,
Garrett DS

Hi, everyone.
As we haven't had any activity here recently I'm going to go ahead and close the thread. If you have more to add, feel free to start a new discussion.
Thanks
