Nest Aware? ...awares me about AN HOUR later!

There's an issue with severe notification delays on the Nest Hello Doorbell (see the NUMEROUS other posts on here).
The issue is not 'our end', it's a Google problem.
And hey, I just bought a shiny new Google Pixel 6 Pro phone ...AND it still happens.
Bottom line: For thoe of us who have subscribed to this service ...and Google's not providing the service ...What about refunding or at least offering a credit/incentive rather than sticking your heads in the Corporate sand?
Just an idea.
I'm preparing for a tumbleweed response.
Grrrr!

Hi Osamo111,

That's certainly hasn't been easy for you — let's get this sorted.

A few questions: when did you first notice the issue? Is it happening to multiple devices? Also, are you connected to a WiFi or cellular network when the issue occurs?

Give these steps a try:

  • Try restarting your Nest Hello doorbell by removing it from the wall outlet and press the pinhole at the back near the top for 10 seconds or turn off your breaker for 10 seconds.
  • Try restarting your router for 2 minutes by unplugging it from the wall outlet.
  • Close all the apps running in the background of your phone and reopen the Nest app.
  • If you have multiple devices connected to your WiFi, try disconnecting them first to see if it eliminates or reduces the delayed notifications.
  • If your doorbell camera is currently paired to a 5 GHz WiFi frequency try switching it to the 2.4 GHz WiFi which is the recommended WiFi frequency for outdoor cameras including your Nest Hello doorbell.

Let me know how it goes.

Cheers,

JT
