I am still seeing the old Nest doorbell 3 hours of activity. None of the motion activity will play. Started Nest Aware 24 hours ago which should give me 30 days of video history that can be played back. I updated the Nest app on my phone already. Should I be using the Google app instead??

If you have the older Google Nest Hello Doorbell that is accessed from the Google Nest app, then you use the Google Nest app to access history. (We have 3 Nest Hello doorbells.)
If you signed up for a Nest Aware subscription for event video history, your 30-day event video history starts at the momemt when you purchased the subscription. It is NOT retroactive; Google Nest does not save history if you don't have a subscription.
You can check your subscription by going to your camera in the Google Nest app and selecting Setting | Nest Aware.
