Nest Aware subscription bug and incompetent Google Support

This is the most frustrating customer service experience I've ever had. A really terrible service from Google that has wasted hours of my time with no fix and having to start from the beginning in every support call with broken promises about escalation.

I'm unable to upgrade my Nest Aware subscription that is part of Google One subscription.

When I try I receive a server side popup error telling me:

"Error something went wrong on our end. Please try again"

I've been receiving this error for weeks when trying to upgrade my Nest Aware subscription.

I've spent hours on support calls with no fix and nobody who seems to understand the problem or accept ownership for its solution.

I have been referred to Nest Aware subscriptions who can't help because it's a Google One problem and Google One can't help.

I was advised that I can't upgrade because my basic sub isn't properly activated. But I can't activate it because the bug won't let me.

Every time I try to get a solution I'm in a support call for over an hour in which the support agent requires me to explain things from the start despite a ticket reference number. And there's zero fix.
