I cannot change the payment method for my nest subscription - eveytime I try to do it, a pop up appears telling me that due to RBI Regs, I need to update my subscriptions to e-mandates!
I just want to change my credit card . I spend 30 mins chatting to someone on the support line and they didn't have a clue how to fix it - any idea??

I have the same issue been emailing back and forth with support specialist for over a week over 20 emails in total. Also been escalate 4 levels . Everytime i have received no resolution.. this is ludicrous they have an internal problem that is affecting people trying to change method of payment .. for me i had a credit card cancel that was on my nest aware subscription now that it is canceled i can not remove it from my nest aware subscription and replace it with my new card. Last agent says the error with RBI and e mandate is not necessary the correct error but . He told me he can no longer help me because he does not have the authority to manually remove my card . And he want to bring it to the nrxt kevel again. I just gave up . Crazy i waste many hours..

I'm having the exact same issue!! Spent 40 mins on the phone, no solution and then I get an email from Google pay India saying they can't help me. I've opened a help chat today, sent screenshot of it all and they have no idea and then after being transferred to the 3rd person again, they are someone from Google pay India who can't help as they don't offer support!! This is a joke. What has the RBI got to do with me when I live in the UK! Anyone had any luck in solving this issue?

My case is at the highest level of support. I have an agent that sends me an email everyday for the past 3 days to give me an update. 2 days ago for my trouble they gave me a $35 credit to use at the google store. That was unexpected they have been very apologetic especially the agent Ann that i have. I am already 2 days past due on my payment but i have not yet lost my nest aware . It has given me a 7 day grace to fix the problem.. i hope they can fingers crossed... I have other post on different threads pertaining to this issues . Different info that may help you get to my point.. my advice do not give up and ask to have this problem escalated to the highest level..

When i spoke to the first agent on the phone my case # was associated to my google email account linked to my nest aware.

Same problem have been trying to update payment card for a week as payment was due today but failed due to expired credit card. Thought I would get an email link to pay it but nope just send you round in circles says click here to fix it does not fix it. Rbi 2021 I've changed it since 2021 with no problems in the past.

I am just posting an update to this issue of not being able to remove my old credit card from the nest aware account and getting the RBI flag making impossible to update your payment method. Well when i first tried to remove my cancelled card and it would not let me,and when my payment date came and the card charge was declined . The system automatically gave me a 7 day extension to rectify the issue. When that came due and with still no luck or resolution from google support team my account was cancelled and i lost all my history and saved clips.. at this time i got a email asking to re-subscribe only then i was able to go back to my google pay store and remove the canceled credit card and replace it with the new one in nest aware subscription.. also at the point during 7 day grace google nest said they were willing to give me 30 trial subscription till there was a fix.. well that did not happen surprise. During emails with support after 2 weeks of back and forth they finally admitted it was s known issue.. hope this helps others.. i now have a nest aware subscription but had no help from support team just the run around .. my advice cancel your nest aware remove your cancelled card giving you the flag and add the good card and re-subscribe..
