I have a nest aware subscription however when I go to my google home app, I am only seeing event history from last couple hours. Nothing is showing up from yesterday or before, I have the subscription so that I can access event history. What am I paying for?

That sounds like you don't have a subscription and are only seeing history for the most recent 3 hours.
Is your subscription for the same Google Nest "home/structure" where your camera is located? You can check your subscription here, and click on your subscription to see what "home" it applies to:

You can also check by going to Settings | Nest Aware in the Google Home app.
f you go to your doorbell in the Google Home app and go to Video | Video history, what option is checked?
