I "upgraded" to Plus recently and can't say I'm happy with it. I stopped receiving notifications shortly after upgrading and had to reinstall the home app. Now I am and to get notifications but the video isn't showing up. I thought the 24/7 history would be nice since there has been more activity around the house lately, but what good is it if the videos are never viewable??? The videos I can view aren't even full length, they are broken up and so skippy and the 24/7 history doesn't even seem to function as there are so many gaps.

Upgrading from Nest Aware to Nest Aware Plus shouldn't have any effect on notifications.
We have two 2nd gen cameras, and we can view their video history in the Google Home app, as described in this Help topic:

We also have several 1st gen cameras and doorbells, and we can view their video history in the Google Nest app, as described in this Help topic:
https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9208447
We've had a Nest Aware Plus subscription since 2020, and rarely see any gaps in our video histories.
I think Wi-Fi bandwidth and signal strength can affect what we get for video history.
Accessing video history is still far better in the Google Nest app (and on the home.nest.com website) than in the Google Home app (and there is still no video history available on the home.google.com website).
