Outdoor Wired Camera Missing Events

Myndjob

I have an outdoor camera right above my front door. Yesterday, some items were stolen from my porch and the camera did not recognize the event. I was only able to find the culprit by scanning through the footage manually. A truck parked in front of my house, a person got out, jogged to my porch, took items, loaded the truck and left. But nothing was noted in the event history and no alerts were sent.

Hey there, Myndjob.

Sorry for my late response. Thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I just wanted to make sure that your issue is addressed. I am terribly sorry to hear that you have had such a hard time with this! I would love to look into this issue further and help find a solution for you. I have some questions I’d like to ask you first:

  • Do you still need help with this issue?

  • What troubleshooting steps have you done thus far?

  • Have you tried to restart your device?

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Best Regards,

Brad.

Hi Brad,

I'm not sure if there is much I can do on my end to resolve the problem. It seems like there might need to be some tweaking in the AI that is used to determine what constitutes an "Event". I was able to find when the items were taken from the porch, but I had to manually review hours of footage by scanning with the 15 second skip button. If the camera had logged the incident as an Event, it would have been much faster to find.

Hi there, Myndjob.

Thank you for your patience, and I will move that feedback forward. Sorry those steps did not work. I am afraid I do not know what else to offer for advice, it may possibly be an issue that we are looking into. No ETA of course, but i'll send your feedback forward.

Best Regards,

Brad.
