I have been receiving push notifications for "person detected" whenever a vehicle drives by. This is occurring with only my doorbell camera, and not the wired camera also located on the front of the home.
I would think this was a doorbell issue specifically, but the issue has continued even after moving from the Nest Hello (wired) camera to the Camera Doorbell (wireless) model. This makes me think there is an issue with the Nest Aware AI. On the previous doorbell, I would receive the Nest app alerts for "person detected", and on the new Doorbell Camera, I receive the Google Home alerts for person detected.
I am subscribed to the Nest Aware Plus package if that matters.
Anyone else experience this and have a potential solution for the issue? Previous posts I found didn't seem to have a clear cut solution.

Hi Brad,
Thanks for responding.
Yes, this issue remains unresolved.
Restarting the Battery Doorbell does not change the issue.
I have not performed any other troubleshooting steps, as since the concern was present both with my previous doorbell (Wired Nest Hello) as well as this doorbell, it seems like it is a Nest Aware AI issue, or whatever AI determines people/animals/packages/etc.

Hey folks,
I am sorry to hear that you are still having these issues. Have any of you tried to set up Activity Zones? That may help you out as you can set certain areas that the camera is monitoring, and set some alert settings for that Zone. That way if you focus on on everything except the Rode, you can reduce car notifications there. You can learn more about Activity Zones here. And I also have a Troubleshooting Guide which I'd suggest using can be found here.
Best Regards,
Brad.

The solution to a flaw should not be to omit the areas where the flaw is occurring. That is a bandaid for an issue.
In an update to this issue, I have now added a Battery Outdoor Camera to my lineup and THAT camera also mistakes cars for people, thus further reinforcing my argument that this is an issue with the Nest Aware AI and not the devices themselves.
This issue has occurred on the Original Nest Hello, the new battery doorbell, and now the battery camera. The constant is the AI used to detect objects.

I have this same issue…I get probably 30-40 “person at front door” notifications a day and maybe 3 of them are actually a person. Very frustrating. We have even rearranged our front porch furniture thinking maybe the camera was seeing something that it thought was a person and the cars driving by added the motion to trigger the alert.

I am also having that same issue. My door is not too far from the street (maybe 20-25 feet), so I understand it will pick up people walking by. It should not, however, pick up cars. I have the people and packages as the only settings toggled on. Specific help would be appreciated.
