I just signed up for Nest Aware after having the Nest Cam for some time. An incident occurred where I wanted to see the video but it's just a still image hence I signed up for Nest Aware.
Am I able to view the video of that event given it occurred prior to signing up for Nest Aware?

I definitely understand how frustrating your situation must be, and I wanted to make sure that your concern was acknowledged. I'm afraid that you cannot access previous footage if you did not have a Nest Aware subscription active at the time of the event.
