I got the notification a while back that my camera support was going to end and they provided me with a replacement Nest camera. Stupidly, I didn't test things out with the new camera (Nest cam wired) and only recently got around to setting it up. Turns out, it's not one that works with my subscription (I guess that makes sense? Maybe? I dunno), but then I also found out that Google renewed my subscription for another whole year. Yes, I didn't double check my subscription status.
I guess my questions are, since they renewed my subscription, is this replacement camera supposed to work with it? And if so, how do you set it up? If there's nothing that works with it, why was it renewed? And again, yeah, should have double checked it.
I guess one last question, if nothing works with it and I'm able to cancel it (from what I'm reading this is a whole other issue), will I at least get a prorated refund?
Thanks.

Hi SodaPowered,
Thanks for posting in the community!
I'm so sorry to hear that you are being charged for a subscription that is not compatible with your device. Let me explain this situation. The old camera that you had (which I suppose is a dropcam) used to work with the Nest Aware 1st gen. This subscription just works with the old cameras, and it is automatically renewed until you stop the auto-renewal.
At this moment, we also have the Nest Aware 2nd gen which offers better options and works with the old and new cameras. You can read this article for more information about what you get with a Nest Aware subscription.
If you wish to cancel your subscription (which has a prorated refund), you can contact my team. Once you fill out this form, my team will be contacting you via email for a solution as soon as possible.
In the meantime, if you have any other questions, feel free to reply to this email. I'll be happy to assist further.
Best regards,
Nery.
