I am a property manager and have a rental home with Nest Smoke/CO2 detectors. The owners had the devices on their app and have left the country. I need to add a couple detectors and confirm they are interconnected ini order to obtain a rental license. Do I need to set up the app in my account to do this?

Hi jeffpropmgr,
Thanks for reaching out. You have to setup the Nest Protects on your own Nest account so you can control them yourself. In order to do that, reset the Nest Protects and erase all settings then setup the Nest Protects on your account.
Let us know if you have any other questions.
Best,
Zoe
