I use the Nest smoke and carbon monoxide detektor model Topaz-2.7.I have a total of 4 devices in use. With one device I receive messages 8 weeks after inserting new batteries that the batteries are supposed to be weak. I use the expensive Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries. However, these are not really empty and still have 1,55 volts (new 1,65 volts). All other devices run for at least 2 years on one set of batteries. Can the problem be solved?

Hi @Hh52159,
Thanks for reaching out to the Community. I am sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Nest Protect Battery. I’d be happy to help you with your device. Let’s check it out.
Several things could be causing your Nest Protect to display a low battery warning even after replacing them. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
1. Check for Software Updates:
Outdated software can sometimes cause glitches with battery readings. Ensure your Nest Protect has the latest software update installed. Here's how to check for updates in the Google Home app:
2. Factory Reset (Last Resort):
If the above steps don't work, consider performing a factory reset on your Nest Protect as a last resort. This will erase all settings and data on the device. Here's how to reset:
Follow the steps from this guide when Nest Protect’s green power light is on, but the app says the power is out. You can also check the following details to correctly Replace Nest Protect's batteries.
Let me know if you need further assistance..
Best,
Mario

Mario, can you please go ahead and initiate the warranty replacement process for this customer? They have already indicated use of correct battery type. This is a known issue. Thanks.
