I am getting a message to Recharge battery now, Not Replace battery. How is this fixed. It does not identify which device has this issue? I use lithium batteries that have all been changed within 6 months

Hi @19Minnie55,
Thanks for reaching out here in the community! I'm sorry to hear that your Nest Protect is showing the message "Recharge battery" instead of "Replace battery." I'd be happy to help!
To better assist you, I'd like to ask the following:
For now, I'd recommend replacing the batteries with new ones to see if the device is able to recognize the new ones and work as expected. For your reference, you can check out this article: Replace Nest Protect's batteries.
Please keep me updated.
Best regards,
Jenniffer

Wired or Battery? How are you receiving this message? Phone notification, verbal from Protect? A message from Google Home App? Do you have other Nest devices that have rechargeable batteries such as cameras, doorbell, thermostat?

Hey 19Minnie55,
Thank you so much for posting in this community. I understand you may be encountering difficulties identifying what device is sending these notifications, or it could be that your Nest Protect is sending you alerts that the batteries need to be replaced. If so, I have some recommendations. Don’t worry; I’m glad to assist you.
If the batteries are low, Nest Protect provides a lot of advanced notifications, and you will receive a notification in the Nest app. When batteries become very low, Nest Protect also speaks automatically and states that it's time to change them.
Check out this article about Nest Protect lights and sounds in the section "When Protect needs your attention" to identify if the Nest Protect is sending you notifications or if it could be another device that needs to be checked.
Let me know how it goes, and keep me posted.
Regards,
Daniel
