Changed phone number. How do I reset the account for access via Authentification

Hi, 

 

I have changed job and my phone number is lost. The number was added in the Nest account and now I cannot access. How do I reset the account via my email instead of using phone number? The phone number is no longer in use... Please help.

I have this issue too. I can't get past the 2nd factor authentication as I don't have that phone number associated with my account. What do I do?

It’s really frustrating and the support on Nest has closed down and no longer in service. Ridiculous! My house Nest product cannot not be logged on due to this… @googlenest: You have to have some sort of solution to solve this.

Hi everyone, 
 

I’m sorry to hear you’re all having issues resetting your Nest accounts. Is there a chance that you can get a new phone that uses your old phone number? Your mobile service provider may be able to move your old phone number to a new phone, and the you can receive 2-step verification codes there.

The old verification number was on my wife's mobile phone. She has passed on and I eliminated her phone number.

Unfortunately, I no longer have access to my old number and phone. So, I am still unsure of what to do.
