Does a Nest Protect purchased in the UK work in France?

I am planning to purchase three battery-powered Google Nest Protect devices in the UK and install them in a property in France that is fitted with Starlink internet. Does anyone have experience of taking Nest Protects from the UK to France, and therefore know  whether UK Nest Protects work in France. (I am aware that Google is getting out of the smoke alarm game and is continuing to support the product until each device reaches its expiry date.) Thanks.

@onwiththemotley The official answer is Google Home and Google Nest products are optimized to work best with specific Wi-Fi standards depending on where they are sold. This means if you buy a product in one country, it may not work as expected, or may not work at all, if you try to use it in a different country than where it was purchased. With that said, the UK and France use the same Wi-Fi standards so you will more than likely have no issue doing this. Some 5 GHz Wi-Fi channels are regulated differently in Europe, however most consumer Wi-Fi devices automatically adjust for regional channel availability like this.

The final point I would make is Nest Protect (2nd gen) is sold and supported in France, so not sure what the need is to buy in the UK and take them to France.
