I bought my Gen 1 when Protect was released. All has been great up until the last month. Our kitchen Protect started chirping every minute - I figured it was the batteries so I changed them (Energizer Lithium) As soon as I put in the new batteries, it started chirping again. I gave up and just pulled the batteries out of it and set it aside.
When I changed the kitchen Protect, I went ahead and changed the batteries for our hallway Protect. Fast forward 15-days and now our hallway Protect is doing the same thing!
Now I have no smoke detectors for our house, Has anyone else had this problem? If so, what is the fix?!
Thanks in advance!

If these are Gen1 and you bought them in 2013, they are expired. The Gen1 has a hard expiration of 7yrs while the Gen2 is ten years.

Gen 1 was released in 2013 , and only had a life span of 7 years, so I suspect that your devices simply need to be replaced as they are End of life now.

Yeah, I kinda figured that was the issue but I thought I would see if I might be wrong. I went ahead and bought 2 new gen 2's! Thank you!
