Woke up this morning at 4am to one of my Gen 2 Nest Protect smoke alarm alerting of smoke detection. This was clearly a false alarm.
I tried blowing air through the vents using my ESD-safe blower and also removed the unit from AC power and each time I put the battery back in, it will tell me that it has detected smoke. Out of the 12 Nest Protect smoke alarm units in the house, this is the only one that keeps alerting me of smoke.
At this point, do I need to just get this thing RMA'd? If so, how do I proceed?

Hey there,
I'm so sorry to hear about the false alarms that you're having with the Nest Protect, I know it can be frustrating to try and figure out what is going on with it, but I'm happy to look into this for you.
I was able to find a great article that might help you with the issues. I would suggest reviewing this and letting us know if you are still having issues after you troubleshoot a few things.
Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.
Best regards,
Garrett DS
