Why would I not being able to add a Nest Protect to one "Home" within the Nest app, but be able to add it to another "Home" all on the same wifi network?

this solved my problem with my protect as well. creating a new home - this is definitely a protect bug - i hope google recognizes the issue and is working on a fix.

It's the new Home I can't add to... the one I was forced to create to add Nest Wifi Pro...

Hi folks,
Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry.
@cjtucker, you can only add a Nest Protect and all Google Nest devices to one home structure per address. To clarify, is this a first-time setup? If so, make sure that your Nest Protect is close to your router before attempting to add it again. But if you have multiple Nest Protects, ensure that all of them are near each other to pair.
@WillSmith2084, we're always looking for ways to improve, and we appreciate your insight. Rest assured that we'll take this as feedback.

Mark

So, I can't do what Google Engineering told me to do? I can't create a new structure and move products (including my Protects) to it?

Hi cjtucker,
I'm sorry for the late response. Yes, you can move your Nest devices to a new home structure. However, moving them via Settings won't work, as you need to remove them individually and add them as a new device to your preferred home structure.
To confirm, how many and what Nest devices do you have?
I'll look forward to your response.

Mark
