Changing the name of Nest Protect units

Hi. I moved to a new house and brought my Nest Protect smoke/CO2 alarms with me. I want to rename them to match the locations in the new house. I've followed one set of instrux on google website, but it doesn't seem to work. Ideas?

Wifi issue

Hi, I have 2 gen 2 smoke alarms set up in my house, both are only 5 days old and hard wired, one seems to have lost wifi connectivity within the last 24hrs. I have tried all the trouble shooting google offer on the nest app, but still can not get one...

What to do with expired Nest Protects?

Just replaced 7 Protects. Total PITA, because new ones have a different connector. No need to rant over that now. But what am I supposed to do with all the old protects, connectors and mounts? Can I send them back to Google for recycling?
