Just spent nearly 2 hours with online chat and still don't have a resolution so trying here. My Nest Protect alerted me at 4:00am of a smoke sensor failure. It had just run the monthly test 2 days before and there were zero issues. I removed all the batteries, even unscrewed the back cover. Vacuumed everything out. I am still getting a sensor failure notice on the app AND the device is chirping every minute. Online chat was no help, they would not order me a replacement because the warranty expired a couple months ago (isn't this product supposed to last 10 years not two?) nor would they give me a discount code on a replacement. Can someone here assist me in a replacement? And please improve your online chat - it should not take 2 hours (started at 1:43pmET and it's now 3:30pmET) to get to a resolution (even though my case isn't resolved).
