Got an interesting issue recently. One of my three Nest Protects has started beeping. I'll describe it first. It's not continuous, it will beep, pause, beep, pause, beep, pause, beep. 4 beeps, with about 20 second pause in between. Then it will stay silent for a while, sometimes 20 minutes, sometimes for hours. There's no pattern on time of day that this happens. Thankfully it's not near the bedrooms. There's no voice message or warning when this happens.
The Nest app says everything is fine, a self-test comes back as ok. I've pulled the batteries (yes, Energizer Lithium's) and they tested as fine. Version is 3.5.0.3
Not sure what steps to take next to diagnose it.

You can close this case. Playing around with the Protect tonight, we figured out the beeping was not from that, but from a separate CO detector in one of the bedrooms nearby with a low battery, we forgot we have.

Hi Jack7957,
Yikes! I know how confusing it is when there's an unexpected alert from your Nest Protect. To confirm, what is the light status of your Nest Protect while its beeping?
Keep us posted. We're happy to help.
Best,
Zoe

So it's gone a few days without beeping, but just this morning, it did it's routine again, 3 times in less than an hour. No light on the unit when this is happening.
