Nest Protect - not available anymore

Hi all, 

I was reading some posts mentioning that Nest Protect is only available once per 24 hours as limitation. Even if this is clearly not understandable but better to what I can get in the German Google Store. Since weeks you can not buy a protect. Today I was checking the store web page again due to some other offers, a bundle of 3 protect are shown. However when I click on the bundle, I am forwarded to the protect site saying, protect is not available and I can sign in for getting notification when it is becoming available again. Support of the Google store via chat is not knowing anything and willing to help. 

So I hope that some Nest employees can bring in some light.

I need to swap out my old smoke protectors and it would be good to know how long to wait.
