Nest Protect not connecting to a new router

DaveP

I have 5 nest protects (2nd gen) in my house. I recently got a new modem/router from Xfinity. We set up a new wifi network on the Xfinity xFi. Now when I try to update the nest protect devices to the new network, the app sees the device, tries to connect, and the device starts a blue circle glow, but never completes, and never shows available wifi networks.

The Xfinity router is setup with split networks, both 2.4 and 5.0. I have the 2.4 network active on the iPad on which I'm using the Nest app.     What's up with this? Please let me know if you've had this problem, and found a solution.

Thanks, Dave

Problem resolved. The solution is to name your new wifi network exactly what the old network was named: both name and password the same. That has solved my issue.
