Nest protect false alarms

MoRo

My Nest Protect went off overnight last night. It said that there is a fire in our daughter's bedroom. There was no fire and I managed to silence it before the alarm sounded. It is now continually telling us that we have silenced it and has warned us that the alarm going will off a couple more times...  which I silenced again.

Is there a way on the app that we can advise that there is no fire and to stop sending messages?

thanks

Hey there MoRo,

Sorry to hear about the false alarms that were happening, I'm sure it was confusing, but I'm happy to look into this for you.

I would suggest making sure that the sensors are uncovered and that there is no steam, or dust that is surrounding those. I would review this article to help with that.

Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns as I'm happy to help.

Best regards,

Garrett DS
