Hi EdanK,

Thank you for reaching out to our community.

I understand that one of your Nest Protect units started chiming and flashing blue a few days ago at 5:30 am, but did not provide a voice warning. I appreciate you letting us know additional details about the environment of the room where the device was installed. I'm happy to look into this for you.

To assist you better, please answer these questions:

  • Is the Nest Protect unit that you are reporting a 1st gen or 2nd gen? You can use this Google Nest Help Center article to help identify your device: Nest Protect technical specifications.
  • Was there any sudden change in humidity right before the alarm went off?
  • How long did the alarm go off?
  • Did all Nest Protect devices in the house sound off during the event?
  • What software version runs on the Nest Protect?
  • Where was the device purchased?
  • What country are you located in?
  • Do LEDs activate when you perform a Safety Checkup?
  • When was the Nest Protect installed for the first time?
  • Are you using the original batteries in the Nest Protect?
  • Did you check the Nest Protect's battery level?
  • Did you check in the Nest app or Google Home app if you received a push notification when the Nest Protect triggered the alarm?
  • Is the Nest Protect placed near a garage?

Please reply with the requested information so we can continue troubleshooting and find a solution.

Best regards,

Virna
