Nest protect unable to connect to WiFi, error code P006 (3.10)

Hi,

I am having the exact same problem the user in the screenshot had back in January.  I have four hardwired Nest Protects I am trying to reset and reinstall at my new home.  The solution the other person came up with in January is cumbersome.  Is someone from Google/Nest working to resolve this issue so users don’t have to figure this out on their own? Is there an easier way?

I was able to get them working.  The fix was to first adopt the Protect to wifi offered by a separate mobile device with good cellular service.  That adoption worked with no issue.  After adoption and completing the setup of the Protect, I went into settings and switched the wifi to my regular household wifi.  That worked.

Hi Lgmb,

Happy to hear that! I appreciate the gesture. It looks like we can consider this one complete, so I will be locking this in 24 hours if we don't hear back from you again. Feel free to start a new thread, and we'll be happy to help.

All the best,

Zoe
