One of the Nest Protect keeps going off at random times. There'sni smoke not humidity. I've cleaned it just in case there was a dust particles. Still keeps going off. Please help! It goes off in the middle of  night and it hard to go tired to work.

The overall lack of responsiveness or support (or even acknowledgement of issues) by Google of these LIFE SAFETY devices shows neglect and reckless disregard and has successfully eroded customer trust.

I think our best bet as a customer base is to make these problems known outside Google, so a trend can be established. Could you please take a moment to report this issue to the Consumer Product Safety Commission at: https://www.saferproducts.gov/IncidentReporting

Hello everyone

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. To know more about this issue, I’d like to confirm, how was the event reported? How long did the alarm go off? Did all Nest Protect devices in the house sound off during the event? Looking forward to your response.

I appreciate your response, DanCoco.

Best,

Emerson

Hey folks,

Just one final check in here since activity has slowed down. We'll be locking the thread in the next 24 hours, but if you still need help, we would be happy to keep it open. If there's more we can do, just let us know.

Do these reported issues see any tracking or go anywhere? Because often a user will come in, report the issue, then not be present by the time the response happens, but they report the same issue as others.

I dont have confidence there are actually any developers assigned to the protects but if these issues were tracked, they could be fixed.
