Nest smoke dectector

Recently my smoke detector beeps asking me to change the batteries. I have changed them to lithium ones it works for a day and again the second day it starts beeping again. I change it again and that too works for a day. I have checked that the batteries have full power of 1.5 v each. I think this a defective smoke detector.

What type of batteries did you install? Only the Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries are compatible.

How old are your Protects?

I have used energizer lithium batteries and they only work for a couple of hours and then it goes back to the same beeps. The detector says to change it in Jan 2026
