New batteries put in -- Nest Protect STILL BEEPING (and driving me nuts)

I'm seeing several threads about Nest Protect Gen 2 still beeping even after new batteries are put in -- BUT NO SOLUTIONS.

I've checked everything mentioned in other threads -- I'm using the right batteries, etc. Help, the beeping is driving me nuts!!

If using the correct batteries and it's still beeping, what is the app saying? It should have a status of some sort.

The app didn't say anything, which was also weird. But I kept taking the batteries out and putting them back in and that finally worked. Thanks for your reply!
