Just installed a brand new wired Protect 2nd generation. Connected fine...seems fine. Brand new Energizer Lithium batteries as specified. Runs for about 8 hours, then start reporting low batteries. Tested the batteries...they are fully charged and now low.
Unit was manufactured in 10/22 and is running what appears to be the latest firmware, 3.5rc5
What gives? Is Next still putting out defective units that apparently thousands of people have experienced (judging by the hundreds of such messages on various forums?)
Is there any know fix for this issue (other that actually replacing the batteries (which are fine) or returning the unit and hoping to get a non-defective one?
