I am replacing wired First Alert products. I cannot find a clear statement on product life. Typically I find other products talk about either 10 or 7 year product life. Then there are different dates the life begins -- some are installation date and others are date of manufacture.
What is the product life for the wired product?
Does this product really have an incandescent light bulb? The rest of the world is LED!

Hi 2cybers,
Thanks for posting. Nest Protect's long-life LEDs have been rated to exceed the product lifetime (7 years for 1st generation Nest Protect, 10 years for 2nd generation), so Pathlight should work for as long as your Nest Protect does. On the other hand, Nest Protect only uses high-efficiency LED lights that use much less energy than typical incandescent bulbs, so it's easy on batteries and won't waste energy.
Let us know if that helps.
Best,
Zoe
