Protects in new home remembering protects in previous home

I just installed 10 brand new gen 2 Nest Protects in my home. In the app, everything says it’s fully functioning with all green status lights. Every protect is connected to WiFi and I can update settings for each device.  However, when performing a checkup by physically pressing the button on the protect, it says that 2 devices are offline, which causes the Nightly Promise feature to flash yellow every night on every device.

The 2 devices it says are offline are names we used in our previous home that we moved out of 3 years ago. The 2 protects in that home are still there, and I believe I removed those 2 devices from my nest app and then deleted the app from my phone when we moved as I no longer had any nest devices at the time. Currently my previous home and the 2 devices are not visible at all in the nest app. It seems like these new protects have linked to my account that somehow still is linked to my previous devices but I’m unable to see them. I have already called nest support who initially said this scenario is impossible but honestly didn’t really seem to be very knowledgeable about the devices and then put me on hold for 20 minutes to speak to a supervisor and dropped the call and didn’t call me back as I had requested. Very very frustrating. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? The only workaround I can think of is to delete and reset all 10 of these new protects and then create a new google account to link them to so there is no prior device history. Which would obviously be a massive pain. Please help!

Try creating a new home, then reset one of your protects and set it up in that new home. Perform the test and see if the issue persists. If it doesn't, then you can proceed to reset the rest and set them up in the new home. Time consuming for sure, but I suspect it will solve the issue for you.
