I replace batteries in a few days later it disconnected tried to reconnect it several times for about 2 1/2 hours and still no luck reset it to factory and still no luck

I need technical phone support specific to my needs. I don’t have all the information to troubleshoot and I’m not the one who created the software so I will need help from someone who has an inside tip on all of the software inside this stupid smoke alarm.

Hi Gtgjoey,

Thanks for reaching out and for giving this information to us. Let's see what we can do here. Make sure that the battery you placed in your Nest Protect is the Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA (L91) batteries. After you reset it to the factory default, make sure that you removed it from the Nest app before adding it back. Remember that it can only be connected to the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Hit this link for more information. Let us know how it goes.

Best,

Emerson

I'm dropping by to ensure that everything is covered here. How's it going with your Nest Protect? Were you able to read the information and check the link I've shared above? In case you have an update, you know where to find us.

Thanks,

Hey Gtgjoey,

Just one quick final check in here since activity has slowed down. We'll be locking the thread in the next 24 hours, but if you still need help, I would be happy to keep it open. If there's more we can do, just let us know.

Regards,
Emerson
