Trying to get a replacement backplate for the Nest Protect 2

I was trying to install my Nest Protect 2 yesterday (this is the third time I have installed it), but this time the thin surround plastic that acts as a kind of washer on the screw holes broke every time, so now I can't use the device. Is there a way to get a replacement backplate?

I also need a new backplate.  Can anyone assist?

I found a "solution" to my particular issue, which was that the screws were breaking off the thin piece of plastic on the plate that was supposed to go between the head of the screws and the ceiling. My solution was to just use some washers instead.
