Turn Off Wired Nest Protect

Recently disconnected one of my wired nest protect wired smoke alarms as its expired and needs to be replaced (upstairs)  but despite its removal the warning beeps are continuing to beep, I've removed from the Home App but there must be a way to power down the device as the beeps are continuing !
