I bought a house with Nest thermostat and smoke detectors, so I don't know much about them. For the first year I lived here all was fine, but now the batteries go dead in both of my smoke detectors about every 3 weeks to a month. In one of them, I have replaced the batteries 3 times within 2 months. I use brand new batteries. Also every time the batteries go dead, it is in the middle of the night. There is a warning or two, then beep, beep, beep! I have to get out of bed and take them down and remove the batteries because no one can sleep through that! Is that typical?
