how do i set up my nest protect to work with Google home

I'm finding it difficult to add my nest protect smoke alarms (3) to Google home app, at the moment they are on separate apps, can they be added to the Google home app, would appreciate the help,

Hi Tony, 

Unfortunately the Nest Protects are not currently supported within Google Home with the exception of their use for Presence Sensing in Home & Away Routines. 

Hopefully this changes in the future so keep an eye out for updates.

I really hope this changes. Having to manage the same product line in two apps is quiet infuriating. Kind of “dumb” to have a “smart” home that you can’t manage in one place.
