I have bought a Nest Protect smoke detector (battery) to replace my old smoke detector. but I take off my old smoke detector, there are four wires connected to it, two are power, two are alarm relay connected with a resistor. When I removed those wires, it set off my fire alarm and I am unable to bypass it in my security panel(because it is programmed that way). My question is: how can I jump the alarm relay wire to let the panel think it is always on? I will have a new Google Nest Protect going forward, I do not need the panel to know whether my smoke detector is working or not. Many thanks.
