1st gen Nest Thermostat

Can't add my 1st gen thermostats back to my nest account.  They were on, now off.  Tried reset, still no good. 

can't connect to the Nest website "Not available, try again later"  WiFi is connected, but still unable to connect so can't get the 6 digit code.

Any Ideas??
