I just ordered the 2020 Nest. I did the compatibility checker and it says my unit is compatible. But after watching videos, I have a question.
My heat pump has AUX heating when it gets really cold. The wiring plate only has one W. Will my AUX heat come on during those freezing nights, and if so, what temp does it engage.
If you can help with any part of my inquiry it'd be greatly appreciated.
Thanks...

You use the W2/AUX connector on the Nest and tell it you have a heat pump with aux heat during setup.

Also if setup correctly you can set the lowest temp you want heat pump heat to come on. When temps drop below that it will activate aux heat
