I had a new AC put on my roof 3 days ago. The old Nest 2G did not work, so they installed a POS thermostat and wished me good luck. I bought a new 3G Nest and followed the instructions online to do the install. There was a wiring change…. I was instructed to put the red wire into the Rh hole, on the old unit (and with the old nest) it was in the Rc hole.
The unit worked for 1 day, and tonight I came home to a hot house. It would turn on for a few seconds and then immediately say “delayed.”
I reinstalled the POS thermostat and it’s working again…. How do I get the Nest to work??
I chatted with support and they were less than helpful. Said I need a professional installer to resolve this.
maybe someone out there can help me avoid paying for another installer to come out?
Wiring photos attached. Thanks for any help!

Hi Vection,
Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your Nest Thermostat. The "delayed" message that you're getting is usually being caused by power issues. I'd love to know more about this. Could you check the power reading of your Nest Thermostat? You could find this information by going to Settings > Technical Info > Power.
Thanks,
Edward
