3rd gen battery replacement service?

Can I send a 3rd gen thermostat somewhere for battery replacement?  I tried.  Need baby sized fingers.

I think that's an easy job, and I have hands like banana's!!

The hardest part is removing the ribon cable from the board to the backplate., but very easy really.

I appreciate you reaching out.  I went ahead and bought a new one bc I tried replacing the battery and mistakenly broke the thermostat, so I decided to get a new one.
