7 Wire 3rd Gen Learning Nest Install Issues

Marks1

I have a Trane ac/heat pump that has a 7 wire connection. The nest app says not compatible but my AC server says it is but wants to charge 500 to install 1 of my 2 thermostats. Please help me know how to connect it. See photo.

Thanks. Edward. After doing some research I figured out which wire went where and it is working perfectly. I have 3rd gen learning thermostat. See photo of correct wiring which may help others. Thanks!

Hi Marks1,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with wiring your Nest Thermostat. I'd love to know more about this. What type of Nest Thermostat do you have? Also, if you have access, please share a photo of the control board of your HVAC system.

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

Edward
