A/C mode is not available

Hi, we're trying to turn on the a/c but the cooling mode is not available on the app or on the thermostat itself, only heat is available to select. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Nest Community Forum. I'd be happy to take a look at your HVAC system's temperature mode options.

It appears that a wiring configuration issue could be the possible reason it doesn't detect the Cooling mode. To be sure, please share with us your old thermostat and Nest Thermostat's wiring setup. Also, make sure that a wire is properly installed on the Y/Y1 terminal and the tab is pushed down for it to detect.
