AC turns on instead of heat

Installed a new nest thermostat over the summer. The AC worked fine. When I tried to use heat, the AC turns on instead of the furnace?

Do you see any messages or codes on your thermostat or in the app? Do you have a heat pump system? In what country are you located? Please check your thermostat's power readout.

1. Go to your thermostat Quick View menu.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Look for Technical Info.
4. Select Power.

Nest Thermostat 2020:

1. Open the Google Home app tap the thermostat tap Settings .
2. Select the Device Information.
3. Choose Technical Information.
