Add to 2nd home

Can I add only one thermostat on the Google Home App? I have 2 homes. Trying to add/connect to primary but won't allow me. Anyone know? When I scan code it doesn't add it.

You should be able to add multiple thermostat devices to your Google Home or Nest app. What type of Nest thermostat are you adding? Are you getting a specific code or message on the app after the code has been scanned? If yes, what is it? 

Please tell me more so I can check it further.
