All thermostats reset and not powering up.

Hello,

Was there a firmware recently pushed out in the last 24 hours?  All three of my Nest thermostats restarted yesterday evening and are now stating they are wired incorrectly not receiving power.  I tried resetting one of the three but it goes back the the same error screen.  All three have been functions fine for the past few years since installing them.

Hello @Vik-J

Thanks for reaching out to our Nest Community about this reset on your Nest Thermostat. I'm happy to help you with this situation.

Let me give you a hand to find a solution. First, let me ask if you are trying these troubleshooting steps on your thermostat:

  • Check the thermostat wires: Check that all of the wires on the thermostat are fully inserted. The connector button should stay in a pressed-down state on any connectors that have wires in them. If not, remove the wire and check the tip.
  • Reset the thermostat display: Remove the display from the base.
The wires should be tucked neatly into the wall, so they don't block the thermostat display when you reattach it.
Press the display back onto the base until you feel or hear a click.
  • Restart: You can find how to restart your thermostat model on this page Restart or reset a Nest thermostat.

With these details, we can determine the solution for your situation.

Keep us posting; I'm here to help.

Best regards,
Douglas.
