Hi experts,
Since the Nest temperature sensors are not available in the UK I was wondering if someone knows of a valid alternative? I have a nest learning thermostat (Model: display 3.6). I would like to know if I can buy the wireless Nest thermostat E and place it in the room where I would ideally have placed just a temperature sensor. Would those 2 thermostats work together?
Any advice is very welcome!

To the best of my knowledge there isn’t a non-Nest thermostat sensor that’s compatible.

Hi David, thank you for your answer. I don't mind if it is nest or not. I just need something that I can buy in the UK and that will work with my Nest learning thermostat. It could be a sensor or another thermostat. Anything we I'll work for me 🙂

There isn’t a sensor made by Google, or any other manufacturer, that is compatible as far as I know. If you have the option, you can buy a second thermostat. More info on that below.

I think the main question here is WHY have Google NOT allowed the UK to use the sensors. The software is in the thermostats ready to go, but they will not allow us to use!
I have mentioned this many many times, but still Google will not release this useful sensor for the UK.

Hi there @Pablojpc! As it was already mentioned, there are no temperature sensors available to work with the Nest Learning Thermostat. As for buying the Thermostat E, it won't be able to work as a temperature sensor for the Learning Thermostat either because you would not be able to connect them. If I misunderstood your question, please let me know, and I'll try to help you.

Hi there, just checking in, did you manage to see our message above?

Hi everyone,
Thank you so much for your replies. It looks like there is no way of getting a sensor or other thermostat to work with the learning thermostat. That is a real pity 😞

For the moment, Nest Thermostats are only compatible with Nest sensors. Please let us know if there's anything else we can assist you with.

Yes, sadly not the expected answer, but yes.

I understand your disappointment. My colleagues are always working on developing our products. If there will be any update, they'll make sure to let everyone know on our official channels.
Is there anything else I can perhaps try and assist with at the moment?
