Hi,
One feature that I believe should be implemented is an automatic humidity adjustment according to external temperature. When I go into the Nest app, it knows the outside temperature. Why not have it use that temperature to adjust the humidity level in the home? Could even let the user set the humidity levels they want for certain temperatures for even more customizability.
Could even have it look at the future forecast and make adjustments ahead of time since I imagine it would take a bit of time for the humidity level to change - but I'm sure the Nest could figure it out, since it can figure out how long it will take to heat my house to the temp requested.
It could be a setting that can be turned on or off.
When it's just near freezing, more humidity is ok, but when temperatures really drop, the humidity should be lower to prevent condensation on windows.
I don't know why this hasn't been implemented. Guess no need in Silicon Valley? This is a problem in colder climates and would be easy to implement.
Thanks for your consideration!

This implementation has been requested over and over and over again for over 5 years! And you guys continue to give the same pathetic answer that you're "looking forward to making these updates in the near future." It's all crap and it goes to show Google doesn't aide to their customers. This isn't some minor issue, it's important for health and keeping our belongings from getting damaged from excess humidity in our homes.

Hi tac79phoenix,
I'm sorry to hear your frustration or dissatisfaction caused by the limitations of the Google Nest API and the lack of specific features, such as direct access to change the humidity setpoint. I understand that the ability to automate and control the humidity setpoint through the API would be valuable for your specific use case.
We're always looking for ways to improve, and we appreciate your feedback. If you come across other information you'd like to pass along or have more questions, feel free to create a new post.
Thanks,
Zoe
